KING DAVID Casket

The Crown Jewel of the City of David Collection

The crowning achievement of HOLY EARTH, the King David casket is a sculptural masterpiece of exceptional distinction. Majestic in form and rich in detail, it brings together the sacred earth of ancient Jerusalem and an extraordinary expression of ceremonial grandeur.

Inspired by the monumental beauty of ancient sarcophagi, its striking trapezoidal silhouette rises from a narrower base toward an expansive top. Elaborate decorative reliefs adorn the gracefully curved sides of its lids, creating a magnificent interplay of contour, texture, light, and shadow. The casket rests on a raised platform from which dark solid wood carrying handles extend, completing its commanding, majestic presence.

Its cladding blends authentic archaeological earth from the City of David excavations in Jerusalem with golden desert earth. Meticulously shaped and finished, the material reveals its natural character through every sculpted detail.

The entire interior is lined with white velvet featuring a delicate pattern and complemented by a soft pillow, creating a serene setting within this majestic form. Two hinged lids open independently or together, providing full-length access.

The most prestigious creation in the HOLY EARTH collection, King David offers an exceptional final tribute: an eternal embrace by the earth of ancient Jerusalem.
