Jerusalem Casket

Direct Contact with the Earth of Jerusalem

The Jerusalem casket offers a tangible, eternal connection to the earth of ancient Jerusalem. An earth panel forms the casket’s interior floor, allowing the deceased to rest directly upon this sacred earth, without an intervening layer of upholstery.

The casket’s cladding blends authentic archaeological earth from the City of David excavations with golden desert earth. Clean rectangular lines, recessed panels, and a raised Star of David lend the casket a refined beauty and dignified simplicity that echo Jewish burial traditions.

The framework is built using traditional joinery, with wooden dowels and no metal. Both lids are removable and hinge-free, fitting into a recessed groove around the casket’s perimeter.

Pure cotton lining covers the interior walls, complemented by a cotton pillow filled with natural cotton. The casket rests on a raised platform from which dark solid wood carrying handles extend, completing its assured, dignified presence.
